Air Commodore Vishnu Gaur took over the charge as Air Officer Commanding of 5 Base Repair Depot a prestigious Depot of IAF, at Sulur near Coimbatore on Thursday from Air Commodore KAA Sanjeeb VSM who proceeded on posting, on promotion. He was Commissioned on September 04, 1989 in the engineering branch of IAF.
Graduate of BIT MESRA in ECE branch, Air officer during his career span of 33 years, has diverse experience of staff and operational appointments, including Commanding Officer of a Technical training school, Chief Engineering Officer of two front line air bases of operational commands.
He has also held staff appointments at two command Headquarters during his tenure. Prior to assuming the current appointment, he was Deputy Assistant Chief of Integrated Defense Staff in Financial planning at Delhi. For his meritorious service he was awarded Chief of Air staff Commendation on 26 Jan 1999.
