Chennai:
The 2025 edition of the Asian Surfing Championships will be hosted by Mahabalipuram between August 3 and 12. Surfers from 20 countries will be taking part across various Shortboard divisions: Open Men, Open Women, Under-18 Boys, and Under-18 Girls.
Beyond the gold, silver, bronze, and copper medals, the surfers will be vying for qualification spots for the 2026 Asian Games, making this a landmark event on the Asian surfing calendar. The men’s and women’s champions will receive direct berths to the SurfCity El Salvador ALAS Global Finals, scheduled for November 17–23 later this year.
